Cookie Policy

Bifrost Analytics
Last updated: 9 September 2026

This policy explains what we store on your device when you use Bifrost Analytics at bifrostanalytics.no (the "Service"), and why. It covers cookies and equivalent technologies such as browser local storage.

Short version

The Service stores only what it needs in order to sign you in and keep you signed in securely. We use no analytics, advertising, profiling or third-party tracking technologies. Because everything we store is strictly necessary to deliver the service you have asked for, we do not ask you for consent, and you will not see a cookie banner.

If this table stops matching reality, this policy is wrong and must be updated. We check it whenever we add a feature.

What we do not use

We do not use analytics, advertising or marketing technologies. We do not build profiles of you. We do not embed third-party content, such as video players, social media widgets or external fonts, that would allow another company to store or read data on your device. Nothing we store is shared with anyone else.

Why there is no consent banner

Under the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act (ekomloven), which since 1 January 2025 requires consent meeting the GDPR standard, consent is not required where storage is strictly necessary to deliver a service that the user has explicitly requested. Signing in to your account is such a service, and the items listed above are the ones required to make it work. We remain obliged to tell you what we store, which is the purpose of this policy.

Should we ever introduce anything beyond the strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first, through a banner that lets you refuse as easily as accept, and we will update this policy before doing so.

Controlling storage yourself

You can delete cookies and local storage, or block them, through your browser settings. Be aware that blocking the items above will prevent you from staying signed in, so the Service will not work.
